Love the Kaiser chiefs Cd..they also use the word thee in one Song!How good is that lol.

i think this weekend i am mostly gonna listen to ben folds new Cd (recommended btw!)and also ,to my shame ..the best of Motley crue!!

Ive also given in to the hype and bought Coldplays new one too,after vowing not to...boy,is it class.I think "fix you"is the most gorgeous Song this year.

God,i love Music.

Mind you it may be a bit blurred because ,like diamond ,this weekend is gonna be a Stag weekend....maybe we are going on the same one?lol

They need to look at America’s history regarding how we respond to nuclear threats and land grabs:

The USSR threatened to nuke us if we did not let them setup their nuclear missiles in Cuba. That didn't fly. We stared them down at the blockade until they turned tail and went home.
Iraq tried a land grab in Kuwait... we kicked his ass back to Baghdad.

Hmmm 1.At least the Soviets had the sense to back down when they did.Kruschev saved the World back in 1962.That fool Kennedy would have happily blown us all up because the Russians wanted to do what you were implementing in Western Europe...

who escapes more often, those born into it or adult converts?

what strikes me on this board is the number of adult converts that have left the borg, either fading out or getting df'd.

from my experience (i was born into it, 2nd generation, left before getting baptized) most of the faders or escapees were also like.

me, born into it, never really accepted it and just bowed out at the first opportunity.

Ive been to 3

London a few times.The last time i had to laugh as the Guide was a Friend of mine and i knew him as a total pisshead.

Brooklyn.Hated it..hated the constant references to 9/11 and how Elders did this,CO,s did that etc...no mention of ordinary drones doing anything to help (as im sure they must have done)let alone any remotest sympathy to the local Population.Also the level of painted on smiles as we went round was so very obvious.Ive never seen a more bored looking bunch after I had mislaid my Camera,retraced my steps and ,Boy did those People look so differant after the tour had passed through!

South African Bethel.Sorry but the deeply ingrained racism was evident in the way black bros did all the cleaning and the generally shit Jobs.Also ,friday night at recreation time the segregation was obvious.Whites stuck together,coloureds likewise and the same with the Blacks. I stayed there a week (mate was posted there.i was visiting.)and came away thoroughly disenchanted.

I haven't read Crisis of Conscience. I know that it has been a tremendous help to many people, but I don't feel the need.

I agree.No disrespect to the Man who clearly suffered at the Hands of GB though.

Im not d,fed or da...which is surprising really as i am known to be living in sin with a gorgeous sexy"worldly"Girl,i am involved in politics (albeit only at parish council level)so get my ugly mug in the local Paper every now and again..also i enjoy a drink or 2 on a Friday night at a "Brothers "local and he,s often seen me with the odd Cigar.

I faded over 2 years ago so figure i should be left alone for ever as long as i dont attend Meetings (not bloody likely!!).

I should have given up a long time ago actually,as i stopped believing after the 1995 nonsense.

i have worked beside a great guy for so long.

this week his wife went into labor with their first child (they lost two others btw) so he left work to be with her (????

he got smashed to death by a truck on the way to the hospital.

it's an unfortunate fact that the uk is gradually slip sliding away in the ranks of great achieving countries.. our tennis players aspire to greatness but slip at the last, and often first hurdle.

our national health service though catering to all, is no where near the quality it should be.

i can vouch for that fact from last weekends experience, having to call an emergency doctor out to see my son, he missed totally what was wrong with him.

No,i dont have stats to hand..but then 50 % of stats are rubbish any way.You have to admit (actually,no you dont,thats the beauty of a DB) Youth "culture"at the minute is geared up almost totally in a negative fashion...thats not because the Media tell us so..it is evident in any Provincial Town Centre on any Weekend Evening,it can be quite intimidating....Maybe i have noticed it more ,purely because a member of my Family was a victim of these "bored Youngsters"and their culture of "respect"...hence my hatred for all things "chavvy,hoodie,happy slapping etc".
